Melanie E. Damian, the court-appointed equity receiver for Hunter Wise Commodities LLC, recently asked a Florida federal judge to sign off on a settlement ending claims that the firm’s outside counsel failed to properly advise Hunter Wise on the legal risks of its $46 million precious metals investment scam.
Ms. Damian, has agreed to settle her $1 million suit against Jay Bruce Grossman of JB Grossman PA for the remaining $733,000 balance of his legal malpractice insurance policy.
