Amanda L. Fernandez

Amanda L. Fernandez is a senior associate at Damian & Valori, LLP | Culmo Trial Attorneys. Ms. Fernandez focuses her practice on complex business, professional negligence, employment, business torts, and receivership and securities litigation.  She has developed expertise in the area of complex business litigation, including shareholder disputes, director/officer liability, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, injunctive matters, and derivative suits.  She is admitted to practice in Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.

Ms. Fernandez is a member of the Board of Directors for the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) and serves as Treasurer for the organization.  She also serves as Chair of CABA’s Legislation Committee and is the Past Chair of the Continuing Legal Education Committee.  She is also active with The Florida Bar Business Law Section and is a Past Chair of the Business Litigation Committee and a Past Co-Chair of the Uniform Commercial Real Estate Receivership Act Task Force. Ms. Fernandez is also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Academy (OLLA) Law Alumni Association and has served as a coach for OLLA’s mock trial team.

Ms. Fernandez has been recognized by her peers as a Florida Super Lawyer Rising Star for the years 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021.  She was also recognized by South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine’s Up & Comer Awards for 2019.

She received her law degree from Villanova University School of Law (J.D. May 2013) and was a member and Director of External Competitions for the Villanova Law Moot Court Board.  Upon graduation, Ms. Fernandez was awarded the Moot Court Distinguished Service Award and the Dorothy Day Pro Bono Award.  Ms. Fernandez was also the President of the Hispanic American Law Student Association.

Before attending law school, Ms. Fernandez graduated with honors from Florida International University in 2009, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in History.
