The Uniform Commercial Real Estate Receivership Act (“UCRERA”), which the Florida Legislature unanimously passed during this year’s legislative session, took effect on July 1, 2020 after Governor Ron DeSantis signed it into law. The Act substantively changes Florida law relating to commercial real estate receiverships and has the potential to affect multiple practice areas that intersect with commercial real estate.
